“Musicoterapia para reducir la Ansiedad Pediátrica en Procedimientos de Radiodiagnóstico”

La ansiedad en pacientes pediátricos durante los procedimientos de radiodiagnóstico constituye una dificultad frecuente en los servicios de imagenología, debido a que puede interferir en la cooperación del niño, generar movimientos involuntarios y aumentar la probabilidad de repetir estudios diagnósticos. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo implementar un protocolo de musicoterapia en pacientes pediátricos sometidos a procedimientos radiológicos, con la finalidad de reducir los niveles de ansiedad y mejorar las condiciones de adquisición de imágenes. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicado y con diseño cuasi experimental. La muestra estuvo conformada por 50 pacientes pediátricos de 4 a 10 años, distribuidos en dos grupos: grupo control, atendido bajo el procedimiento habitual del servicio, y grupo de intervención, en el cual se aplicó musicoterapia antes y durante el estudio radiológico. La ansiedad fue valorada mediante la escala Modified Yale Preoperative Anxiety Scale, mientras que la repetición de estudios se registró mediante control técnico del procedimiento. Los resultados evidenciaron que el 80,0% de los pacientes del grupo control presentó ansiedad clínicamente relevante, mientras que en el grupo intervenido este valor descendió al 20,0%. Asimismo, la repetición global de estudios disminuyó del 28,0% al 4,0%. Se concluye que la musicoterapia constituye una estrategia no farmacológica viable, segura y de bajo costo, capaz de favorecer la cooperación pediátrica, reducir repeticiones innecesarias y fortalecer la humanización de la atención radiológica.
